This tip will lets you create an FS9 Flight Plan file automatically. You'll only need departure, destination, and route of flight. For SAX flights, you can get the suggested route of flight from the flight plan form. The rest is done by going here http://www.fsroute.com/.
For example, for flight 3022, KSTL-KDFW, enter KSTL for DEPARTURE, KDFW for ARRIVAL. Then, from the SAX Flight Plan form enter
LINDY2 MAP RZC FSM BYP5
in the ROUTE block. Note that you must remove any periods ('.') from the route. Optionally click on the '?' character for comprehensive information.
Select the appropiate F/P Export format, and press GENERATE. It should then offer you the download file. Put the file in the appropiate folder and you're set.
Have fun,

****** PS - UPDATE ******
As an update, you could also go to http://www.simroutes.com. Select "Generate Routes" from the top menu. Fill in the blanks with departure, any SIDs, the route body, and any STARs. Next, click the Generate Route button. On the next page you'll see all kinds of useful information about your route, included a suggested alternate airport in case you have to divert. In the section labeled Aircraft Information, select the appropriate aircraft for your flight. In the Dispatch section you can either file on line with VATSIM or get a ready-for-use file for various platforms/applications. Scroll all the way down and you'll see the route of flight plotted on a google map. Quite cool.
The one main advantage about simroutes.com is that they keep the navigational date current. Unfortunately FSRoutes.com, while still there, isn't keeping up with the nav data changes. Feel free to comment and suggest. Good ideas and collaboration are always welcome.
