SAX Group Flights General Instructions

Post by Dave Blake »

These instructions are for the SAX monthly online group flight. Group flights are usually held on the 3rd Sunday of the month.

We use the SunAir Express FSHost server to act as the host for the multi-player session. Use FSHost just like any normal FS9 - FSX multiplayer session.

If you use FSX you must download in install the special FSHost Client for FSX from the FSHost web page. http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/

The IP address and password for the Multi-player host session is usually emailed to all the SAX pilots a day or two before the flight. The IP address is the same as the TeamSpeak IP address. This IP address is not static and may change unexpectedly. You can always use TeamSpeak to find the IP address if needed.

We will meet on the TeamSpeak SunAir Express Company Frequency 15 to 30 minutes before departure time for a final briefing.

Please try to have your multiplayer session running before we meet on TeamSpeak so we can depart close to on time.

Voice communications for the flight will be available using the SunAir Express TeamSpeak Company Frequency.

Download the TeamSpeak setup instructions from the SunAir Express Files Library. Contact me or your hub chief for user name and password to access the SAX file library downloads. Only SAX pilots are granted access to SAX downloads.

Contact me if you want to test your TeamSpeak connection before flight day. This is recommended if you have not used TeamSpeak before or want to test it again.

If you do not have a mic or headset for voice communications or have trouble with TeamSpeak use the flight sim multiplayer chat window for Text communications.

You can use TeamSpeak to receive voice communications even without a mic.

Multi-player connection issues are usually due to router or firewall settings. This post may help setup your router: http://sunairexpress.com/saxforum/viewtopic.php?t=268

Don't forget to take screen shot pictures during the flight for the photo page. Use your favorite screen shot utility program like FS Sreen (download below) or Snap Shooter: http://sunairexpress.com/saxforum/viewtopic.php?t=177
