Way to go Rich, congratulations. In those 500 hours, do you have a memory or two of your favorite flight moment?
Again, congratulations.

Re: Rich Gasperin Promoted to Senior Captain
Fellow SAX Pilots,
Thank you for the congrats! It's been a long time coming and worth every flight hour. I previously typed in a long winded reply which for some reason didn't post, so here's a shortened versions.
A memorable flight for me was flying a B1900 from KTPA to KDAB right when a hurricane was off the east coast. The final approach was a real knuckle-buster! Pretty much zero visibility...heavy, heavy rain and high winds. Was attempting ILS and was able to get the aircraft on the runway at the last minute, right before I was going to go around.
SunAir has been great and I remember the old days with SubLogic ATP on Prodigy flying with Jim Swanson and the original group of pilots. Now that was an adventure, but so is life. I was hit with a F3 tornado in '91 down here in Pinellas Park, Florida (the aircraft for St. Pete/Clearwater do the northbound final here) and lost contact with SunAir along with Jim. When I did a search for SunAir Express, I was elated to find that it was still up and running and so much better than before. Great job to all of you who kept Jim's dream alive, because he really did like the name "SunAir".
Thanks again and great job,
Capt. Rich Gasperin, TPA
