Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
I also wrote to Majestic and here is the pertinent part of their reply: QUOTE: Most likely, you are seeing 2 separate problems. 1. the lower panels were all black as well as part of the overhead. This is a known FSX and P3D glitch regarding how it filters the textures in the VC. It is usually solved...

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
I have redone everything. I reinstalled FSX and the service packs. I installed PMDG 737, PMDg777 and PMDG BAE JS4100. Everything ran great. Then I installed the Majestic Dash8 Q400 and things went bad. First the aircraft loaded with black panels. I reloaded it and got the correct panels. I configure...

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
If you have time, does it matter whether PMDG products are installed first over other third party software?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
Since this things didn't work. I will just start over. It will be some more days before I get a flight in.

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
It did not help. I even tried removing the AeroSoft Airbus and the PMDG 747. It may be that I will have to scratch everything and begin again. Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
It did not work. I was 20 minutes from FGPI and the FSX reset. I wonder is it is the Dash 8 Installation, or the installation of the PMDG 747-400? This all has happened since my computer repair and windows7 re-install. Maybe too many windows updates? Now it is a different module: Log Name: Applicati...

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
I kept surfing and read that I should try doing a repair on FSX and Acceleration. I will give it a try and then try a flight.

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
I am still having crashes to desktop while flying the Majestic from KSEA to KGPI. FSX just stops and then it gets restarted. I installed FSX and then Acceleration. Any suggestions. Also does it make any difference in what order the aircraft are installed. I installed some GA aircraft, the Majestic D...

Re: FSX under Windows 10
I have solved the problem. I found out that Wilco Pub aircraft change the a dll file so that the "lf cr" are deleted. I did not install the Embraer series and I have no more problems. Since I also had video driver problems and some problems because of windows updates I had a friend low lev...

Re: FSX under Windows 10
If you don't mind, I have another question. I have read that it is best to install all aircraft add-ons by running them as administrator. I just finished loading the PMDG aircraft but ran setup without doing it as admin. Do you know whether there has been problems in the long run doing it that way. ...

Re: FSX under Windows 10
New problem. I reinstalled my operating system and then installed all the updates. When I rebooted my system I got a message on the screen that an unauthorized firmware change had been made. The Windows 7 x64 I had installed had worked fine before the updates. I tried again from scratch and got the ...

Re: FSX under Windows 10
Some additional information: The update windows ran for 15 hours in search mode before it actually showed approx. 250 updates which it is now in the process of installing.
I believe it must be a tactic to force people to upgrade to windows 10 after all this.

Re: FSX under Windows 10
I think that must be the case. If I only did flight sim related activities, maybe I could get by without the updates but I am not sure of the security hole I would leave even with a virus scanner.

I am now reinstalling 7 after a system problem. I will stay with 7 as I don't enjoy trying to find drivers, etc., that work.

FSX under Windows 10
I was wondering if any one had tried to run FSX under Windows 10? I am still running 7 but I know that the time is running out for windows 7 Support. I wondered because I am having to reinstall windows 7 again and am finding it hard to get the updates installed (Still in search mode after an hour). ...

Re: 104 New DH8D Flights Added
Hi Dave,
Thank you for all the hard work and for setting up these DH8D routes. I am using the Majestic Pro version with the HUD which I am learning to use.

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
Additional information. I can't duplicate the problem re-flying with the Majestic Dash 8 Q400. I found out that my FSUIPC might have been corrupted so I ran the setup program and the error was fixed. Maybe there is some random problem. Any way, I seem to be doing better now so thanks for the trouble...

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
Would it affect the flight if I have Internet explorer running at same time. I sometimes look at Sky Vector and look at their map while flying to see if anything interesting is noted. I have only begun doing this recently. Maybe is has to with clicking on the IE icon to see the map and then on the F...

I have not got back to the Dash 8, I did fly different planes to various airports and have had no problems. I will have to do some more on another day. So far so good.

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
Things have been working fine for awhile. Now I have a new problem. When I am turning on final, the simulator suddenly freezes then a message states that there is a fatal error and then it restarts the simulator. The only changes I have made was to install a Super Constellation just to play around w...

Re: FSX Unexpectly Crashes to Desktop
It seems to have been the Embraer 195. I uninstalled it and re-installed it and made a flight. No problems. I had replaced the mouse earlier and it seemed to be acting up so I replaced it with a different one just to be sure. I made sure I ran everything in admin mode. Thanks for taking the time to ...
