Re: Poll: Preferred Flight Sim for Your SAX Flights

Hello Dave and SAX.

I fly on the latest P3D Pro V4.4 on the PMDG 747-400 and 747-8 machines. Activesky and GSX supplement the experience.

Re: Boeing 747-8 Approach New York

Thanks. I like it, feels better to takeoff/land at higher MTOM/MLM  , engines obviously better performance. Engines GEnX THRUST 100% compared to the -400 GE/RR/PW up to 110%, you get the full engine performance/efficiency, meaning when selecting the full "TO" THRUST Lim for takeof...

Re: British Airways to retire its Boeing 767-300ERs

I flew a few returns LHR-FRA on their B763s while in Europe, when choosing flights I saw a 763 aircraft type on some of the early morning/late afternoon flights, hehe  ….otherwise that would had been A320 series :(, obviously no 747 for those schedules but 767 can compensate

Misty Arrival

Hi SAX pilots, Pretty nice arrival, thanks to P4D and ASP4 rendering accurately the real conditions few days ago, we had a solid misty layer we could already see from FL340 before 200nm away from TOD the whole New York/Philly/Boston area covered , all the way to touchdown..I remember before with FS9...

Re: Poll: Preferred Flight Sim for Your SAX Flights

I noticed that this aircraft seems to get to the destination earlier than the block time consistently in the few practice runs I have made. I admit to having some trouble getting it set up for vor/dme landings at night. The problem had to do with disconnecting the autopilot and trying to manually f...

PMDG 747 V3

Fellow SAX pilots, SAX789 is on leave as of today 1/27/2017. As the release of the long awaited PMDG 747 V3 is soon to come, I decided to prepare for it, almost like a ceremony for me (lol). I just reset my PC and will not reinstall the PMDG 747-400X on P3D, not worth the hassle/limitations anymore....

Re: Poll: Preferred Flight Sim for Your SAX Flights

P3D. We can't go back once we've tasted P3D, volumetric fog, HDR, VC/clouds shadows, just to name a few, out of the box. No 3rd party/tweaks needed. Also if using EZDOK, VC cameras snap into original set positions! No more wandering all over the seat and no more the need to readjust to set positions...
