Re: Shawn Hackler Surpasses 1000 Flight Hours
Thank you all very much. It has been an absolute pleasure flying with SAX. So many things have happened in the past few years with my sim experience and I woud love to write a post about it. I am getting married in two weeks, but maybe once I get back from my honeymoon I can share a few stories. I'l...

I was all setup to try and join you guys on Sunday morning, but I got called away. I had to pause and finish the flight that evening. I am really bummed I missed it, but glad that some joined. Grrr....
I am going to post a few screenshots in the next day or two from the fly-in.

Cargo
Hi, all. I was wondering, has there ever been any thought into expanding our cargo coverage? I know we have some 737 flights in Alaska, but was thinking how exciting it might be to get MD-11s or even Antonovs and create a SAX cargo division.

The future of SAX
I sure have enjoyed the year-and-a-half since joining SAX. I fly when I can and strive for the greatest realism I can achieve having not been trained as a real pilot. I am concerned with the scrutiny that something like FSFK brings to our flights, though. While I agree that it s a useful tool in exa...

Re: Preflight Actions
I figure weight distribution by going into the payload area of FS and load each area to 100% Then I'll look at the weight given to each class and come up with a percentage of passengers per class. I'll then multiply that percentage by the number of PAX I have and, voila, I have the plane balanced, a...

Re: SAX A320 for FSX Porpoising Above FL280
It looks like it has something to do with balance. I downloaded another iFDG A320 and noticed that it was nose heavy. It was stable, however, at FL350 until I tried to shift the weight away from the nose with the weight and balance function. So I went back to the SAX A320-which apears to be balanced...

Anyone know where I can get a 737BBJ for FSX? I am now using FSX full-time and would like to do some Jim routes. I've checked flightsim.com with no luck Thanks.

They would be especially useful on long-distance/overseas flights. We should give it a whirl.

Re: How do I get There On Time?
Many thanks. I was trying to save to the FS documents folder as opposed to the program file. Does FSbuild provide winds aloft info or just routing? Shawn btw-you guys have all been awesome over the past few months as I've tried to figure out the ins and outs of flying/planning. Your help is greatly ...

Re: How do I get There On Time?
I recently purchased fsbuild but am having one helluva time figuring out how to export the flight plan to fsx and fs2004. I do as best I can using their instructions but never see a pln file when I try to load a flight plan. How exactly do I get the flight plan over to the sim for use? Your comments...

Re: PMDG B737 NG2.0 for FS2004
Are the aircrafts from PMDG too complicated for the casual simmer, or are they pretty easy to learn/operate? I am thinking about purchasing the 737NG, but I am not a real-world pilot and don't know that I'll get very far in trying to fly it successfully.

I am unfamiliar with how to read the winds aloft data. I use fltsim.com for some planning. Where to I look for jetstream data on fltsim and how do I read the data? Any help would be awesome!

Re: How do I get There On Time?
I tend to arrive a bit early (within on-time allowances) and have been trying to figure out how to find the jet stream speeds pre-flight. Is there a place to find these speeds before I take off? How do I read the report?

A320 Speeds and Flap Settings
I am approaching the 50 hour mark and have been practicing flights with the SAX A320. After reading the attached 'read-me' files and doing my own research, I have found some conflicting speed and flaps info and was wondering what you all use compared to what I have figured. The info is as follows: -...
