Requirements to become a SunAir Express Pilot
Experienced in IFR flight operation.
Able to pass a short open book written test covering basic knowledge includes preflight planning, navigation, aircraft procedures and operations.
Able to pass a short checkride flight from Kansas City KMCI to Saint Louis KSTL flying a B737.
Checkride Flight Requirements
Create an IFR clearance flight plan including the published departure and arrival then navigate the route.
Fly a B737 properly including VR takeoff airspeeds, gear retraction and extension airspeeds, flap retraction and extension airspeeds.
Complete an ILS landing by follow the ILS within one dot of the localizer and glide slope centerlines beginning from the outer marker.
Land within the runway's touchdown zone near the centerline.
Land with a vertical touchdown rate of less then -500 feet per minute at the proper airspeed.
Create a flight video of your ILS approach and landing using the flight simulator's flight video recorder.
Required Software and Reading
Microsoft Flight Simulator FS2006 (FSX) or Prepar3D v4 (P3D).
FS Flight Keeper v3.x to record flight events and send flight logs to SunAir Express. FS Flight Keeper website:
